Your Heart Can Sing

When you are broken and tempest tossed,
Look to the cross.
When lost in the darkest dreary night,
Christ is your Light.

When you come to the end of your way,
God hears you pray.
When you have entered the Shepherd's fold,
Your hand He'll hold.

When you can't see the sun for the rains,
God's grace sustains.
When burdens are too heavy to bear,
His strength is there.

When the water's too deep to go through,
He'll carry you.
When resting in Christ, your Lord and King,
Your Heart Can Sing.

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."
"Be filled with the spirit… Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
(Heb. 4:9; Eph. 5:18-19)

Getting married

Getting married means you'll have
Someone's hand to hold,
Even when you're feeling sick,
Even when you're old.

It means when you sit down to eat,
Someone will be there,
So you won't have to tell your day
To an empty chair.

It means that you can have some kids
Just like a mom and dad,
And play with them all afternoon,
Except when they are bad.

It means that when you need some help,
Someone will help out,
Someone always near to you
So you won't have to shout.

But best of all is when it's time
To turn out all the lights:
You won't have to be alone
Those long and scary nights.

So even though you don't have toys,
You don't have to care:
Once you're married you can be
Each other's teddy bear!

Would you be My Teddy Bear??
